Top best Dior and YSL lip gloss

Hey ladies, in this post, I will present to you guys the best of Dior and Yves Saint Laurent Lip Gloss. Those two brands have a ton of lip glosses but I have narrowed down the best for you. If you’re looking for a Dior or YSL lip gloss with beautiful colors and that doesn’t settle into lip lines, these top 5 lip-glosses below should be considered.

Christian Dior Addict Lip Polish, No. 002 Fresh Expert

Packaging: The tube with a gleaming silver cap that creates quite a nice contrast with the pink of the gloss. My favorite part of this lip gloss is a spin-on applicator that provides the right amount of gloss on the lips. You can put the doe-foot applicator on your lips and as you move your wand across your lips, the applicator will rotate 360 degrees. It means that you do not have to dip the wand again in the tube. It is interesting, right?

Texture: The Fresh Expert is such a pretty, subtle, glossy peachy apricot color with a little shimmer. It is smooth, shiny and soft. Its texture does make you feel comfortable but not thick or sticky.

Pigmentation: This Dior lip gloss brings out your natural lip color, so if you’re looking for a lip gloss that it’s highly pigmented this is not for you.

Shade: The shade of Dior Lip Polish Fresh Expert is the sheer pink tone that plumps up your lips in a beautiful and lovely way. It sheers out a little bit when applied, appears to smooth any dry skin on your lips, and makes your lips look fuller, softer.

Long-lasting: Dior Lip Polish last a long time which about 4 hours and only takes a small amount to moisten dry lips throughout the day.

Overall, this Dior Lip Polish is a bit pricey; however it has a nice smooth texture and very natural pink hue. It will worth a try for dry lips.

  • The gloss itself applies perfectly smooth
  • Non-sticky
  • A spin-on applicator that provides the right amount of gloss on the lips.

  • The color is sheer so it won’t cover your natural lips tone.
  • A bit pricey

Packaging: The Dior 999 Rouge Brilliant lip gloss come in sleek long lip gloss tubes with a shiny black cap and beautiful silver accents. The doe-foot applicator features a small reservoir that dispenses just the right amount of color and shine.

It has natural shine and gives moisture to your dry lips immediately, and color is so vibrant. You can see from the texture that they are very lightweight, like I’ve just been wearing usual lip balm.

Pigmentation: The 999 is greatly-pigmentation. However, if you want the color really pop, you should put on two coat and using lip liner.

Shade: Dior 999 Rouge Brilliant Lip gloss is a classic orange-red with warm undertones and a delicate gold pearl. It had semi-opaque color payoff that went on fairly smoothly and evenly with very slight settling into lip lines. When it fades, it leaves a very slight tint on the moisturized lips.

Long-lasting: It lasts about 3-4 hours.

Yves Saint Laurent Golden Gloss – No.5 Golden Copper

Packaging: The packaging of the gloss is like all the other YSL products, which is luxurious and decadent. The Golden Gloss is stylishly packaged in a square shaped tube with a golden lid and has a brush type applicator. I love the golden cap with YSL brand logo on it.

Texture: The texture is a shimmering non-sticky, moisturizing gloss that has a sweet mango scent. This gloss contains sparkle gold mother-of-pearl, which helps create the lovely golden shimmer that’s laced through the pink, creating a mirror-shine effect.

Pigmentation: The color is highly pigmented like a liquid lipstick. And I am so happy that it does not turn pink on me.

Shade: You will be surprised because Golden Gloss No.5 is called “Copper” as it is not remotely copper at all. It is a fabulous coral red shade infused with beautiful golden shimmers. The gloss is definitely a warm and a very vibrant color.

Long-lasting: It doesn’t last long. After two or three hours, I can hardly see any glossy finish and it leaves a coral stain on the lips.

  • Providing your lips intense hydration
  • Non-sticky
  • It tastes great with mango smell

Cons of Yves Saint Laurent Golden Gloss – No.5 Golden Copper

Packaging: The packaging is very luxurious and high quality. The see through strip in the tube makes it easier to see what color it is without looking at the label. Personally, I like the applicator a lot because it is slightly angled to assist with the application of the gloss. It is so easy to use and I could even apply it without a mirror.

Texture: I love Yves Saint Laurent’s new Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres Glossy Stains. The brand says that it “combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long-wear of a stain for a truly innovative lip product”. Its texture is lightweight, non-sticky and not dry at all. Because of the texture, the glossy stain goes on very smooth and soft. Sometimes, I forgot I was wearing it after a while.
